Arabella is 2 months old tomorrow!

Arabella is getting bigger every day! We can't believe she will be 2 months old tomorrow. She weighed in at 10 lbs 5 oz this week!  We have some updated pictures to share and a few video's too. Although two of the video's are sideways - I couldn't figure out how to rotate them, you can do it easily with a photo but not with a video. If you know how to do it, drop me an email please.

Alex arrived for a short visit last week and so we had a chance to get some good family photos with everyone in them. My friend Jean has an indoor pool so we spent one of the hot afternoons there, although I forgot Arabella's bathing suit and it was probably too cold for her anyway. They had just filled it from the hose - burrr, only Alex went in.  We did splash some water on her and put her feet in, she liked that.
After all that time playing at the pool she was exhausted! Here is the video we took of her at the pool - sorry for it being sideways.

Dakota is happy to have Alex here - he loves having the playmate. This is where Dakota sleeps every night Alex is here...I think Dakota pushes Alex off to the side as the night goes on.

Dakota has also been cuddling with Arabella.. Such a good boy.

We spent a day at the local lake earlier this week. Arabella had her first swimming experience - she loved it, she actually fell asleep in my arms in the water. We met Dawn, Michael and Mackenzie there and we got some pictures of Arabella and Mackenzie together. Mackenzie even stole a toy from Arabella and kicked her in the head - we figure it will be the first of many altercations between the two of them.
Arabella was all tired out after her swimming experience. Her stroller lays flat so it is a good place for a nap.
Mackenzie on the other hand was wide awake after swimming.

Here are some pictures of the two of them, although my hands are in there holding Arabella up... she is not quite ready to sit on her own yet. She did not love having this done. Mackenzie was wondering what all the commotion was about.

When we were ready to go  - Alex wanted to push his new sister around, it was her first time in the stroller without the infant seat. She really liked it once we put the seat up and she could look around.

We had a few other video's to put in but for some reason we keep getting an error message when we try to upload them. We will try again later.
These last ones I took this morning - in her cute mommy loves me outfit. I can't believe she is 2 months tomorrow!

A SMILE caught on camera!

I've been trying to get Arabella to smile for the camera but they always happen so fast that I am never ready for them. I took a short video this morning instead and I caught at least 1 good smile (not one of her biggest ones) and generally happyness. At the end I also caught a spit up - very characteristic of her as well (although she is doing it less than she used to:)). She probably did that because she was sick of being bugged by mom to get another smile in there... she is probably thinking... leave me alone mom, stop poking and prodding me..  The smile come quick, so make sure to enlarge the screen prior to starting the video.

Here are also some recent pictures...although she is fast asleep in all of them. I need to take more pictures when she is awake, it is hard to do when Will is away though. I will try to get some good ones in later this week.

Some cuddling/napping time with Daddy..

I feel so bad for her with this hot/humid weather we have been having. It was 97 today with tons of humidity. Some times she would just fuss and the only thing that helped was standing 1 foot in front of the fan.. then she would become happy. If it keeps up like this I think we will be hanging out in the cool basement. So lately she has been naked baby so that she can keep cooler.

A few updates on Arabella...
- at her last weigh in (last Tuesday) she was 9.7
- she is smiling in response to us
- she is cooing and making all sorts of noises
- she is a strong little lady, always pushing off you with her feet and holding her head up most of time
- she will also mimic you if you stick your tongue out at her, I will try to video that one, its too cute
